How We Serve
North Chevy Chase Christian Church is graced by the gifts and talents of each participant and member of its congregation. Together, we can make a difference in our community, our state and country, and even the world. We offer many different ways to get involved with the missions and ministries we support. Members are encouraged to connect their faith to their community, wherever they reside. We invite you to get involved and join your talents with ours to serve God and spread the Good News.
We believe God has called us to serve those in need through social justice, outreach, and service. As agents of wholeness in a fragmented world, we are committed to ensuring that all people are treated fairly and given the opportunity to thrive. We support and partner with a number of local and national groups, such as Interfaith Works, Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless, Bethesda Help, Church World Service, and Disciples Center for Public Witness to meet material and spiritual needs as well as pursue social justice issues. These activities are led by Nancy Solomon, Devi Rembarran, Lydia Oladapo, Mary-alice Stetler-Stevenson, and Rachel Solomon. For more information, please contact Nancy Solomon.
Music and the arts are a core part of our worship services and we work hard to nurture the talents of our congregation and guests and to provide opportunities for others to share their gifts. For more information, contact Reverand Cheryl Tatham.
Exploring the Bible and contemporary issues from diverse perspectives is also an important part of who we are as a faith community. We encourage learning communities of all types including formal Sunday School classes and ad hoc study groups. For more information, contact Rev. Tatham.
We also believe we are called to extend hospitality to those in our community. Our church provides space to two congregations and nearly a dozen community organizations ranging from Alcoholics Anonymous to Meals on Wheels. If you are interested in using our facility, please learn more here.
